We are delighted to announce that Eric Kavanagh has been appointed Head Chef of our award winning two AA Rosette Herbert restaurant.
Eric started his career as a Commis Chef in Cahernane House in 1999. In the intervening years, he moved on to work in some of Ireland's leading establishments such as Rathsallagh Country House and Sheen Falls in Kenmare. Eric also held the position as Head Chef at Marlfield House and Longueville House.
His career has taken him around the world to countries such as New Zeland and Canada where he worked at Opus Restaurant, one of the most rated fine dining restaurants in Toronto.
Now back in the Herbert Restaurant at Cahernane House Hotel, Eric is creating menus with both Irish and European influences, using the finest local, in-season produce with some modern touches.
