Dine in Killarney

Discover Fresh Food

While Cahernane provides excellent fine dining and casual dining options, you may wish to explore the town to see what other culinary delights await you. Whatever you’re craving, Killarney Town Centre has it – from fresh fish and traditional Irish foods to a more exotic Indian or Italian meal.

Bricín Restaurant and Boxty House

Highly recommended

A traditional restaurant decorated with antique lamps, stained glass and artworks, Bricín serves some of the best Boxty this side of the Atlantic. It’s a spot to enjoy the best of Irish dishes, from fresh seafood chowder to fresh Irish Lamb.

Quinlan’s Fish

Not to be missed

If you love seafood, Quinlan’s is perfect for you. You are guaranteed the freshest fish as they have daily deliveries from Kerry Fish that go straight from sea to fork in hours. They serve seafood with a range of daily specials based on season and the fisherman’s catch of the day

The Shire

Highly recommended

Fans of fantasy should make time to visit one of our most unique bars, The Shire. This Lord of the Rings themed pubs offers a drink selection to rival The Prancing Pony and a food menu to satisfy even the hungriest hobbit. And before you ask, yes, the beer does come in pints!

Killarney Ice Cream Shop

The best time for ice cream is always

Made with local milk and other fresh ingredients, it’s hard to find a fresher, more delicious dessert in Killarney Town. They also serve sorbets and frozen yoghurts in an impressive 37 flavours, washed down by a milkshake or a delicious hot chocolate.

Best pubs in Killarney

Enjoy a nightcap

It wouldn’t be a very successful trip to the Kingdom without a couple of pints in an Irish pub. Killarney has many great pubs offering live music, drinks and dancing, both modern and traditional.

For a great night out try John M Reidy’s or The Grand . For something less nightlife and more unique, experience traditional set dancing with the locals in nearby Kit Flaherty’s Pub on Monday nights.

While here, make sure to enjoy a few pints of local beer from the Killarney Brewing Company who also offer a brewery tour. Don’t forget to enjoy a nightcap in Cahernanes Cellar Bar and give our signature cocktail ‘The Herbert’ a go.

Jaunting Cars in Killarney

Not to be missed

Popular with tourists, and a great way to see the sights of Killarney, Jaunting Cars are another unique feature of Killarney Town Centre. These horse-drawn carriages are ridden by local drivers who often have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the county accompanied by a typical, Irish sense of humour.

Ask at reception and we can arrive a driver for you, or just pick one up in town. You can arrange a tour of the town or ask them to arrange a tour of wider Killarney including parts of the National Park.

Killarney Brewing Company

Great tasting beer

One of Ireland’s most exciting new independent craft breweries and tap rooms. Their unique layout and design oozes warmth with a meshing of old world charm and new world ambience. Additionally all their beers are named after local myths and legends, evoking emotions of all things Killarney.
