Your Stay

Check-In time is from 15:00

While we cannot guarantee an early check-in as it depends on the occupancy levels from the evening before. If a room is available upon your arrival, we will be sure to check you in or alternatively we can store your luggage until a room becomes available.

Yes, we do accommodate late check-out for our guests. Please advise us on check-in if you would like to avail of this service. Late check-out is subject to availability.

Yes. Night porter is on duty from 11pm – 7am. Receptionists are on duty from 7am to 11pm.

If you would like to upgrade please contact reception and we will be happy to accommodate you, subject to availability.

Yes, we would be happy to store your luggage

Yes, we offer a variety of welcome amenities that can be placed in each room. Please let us know and we will do our utmost to assist with your request.

Light snacks are available in the Cellar Bar from 1pm – 5.30pm.

Dinner is available nightly either in the Herbert Restaurant or the Cellar Bar. For the duration of Covid-19, the same menu will be offered in both locations to facilitate social distancing. A reservation is necessary for both areas to guarantee your preferred seating time.

Cahernane House Hotel has grounds and gardens for walking. Killarney National Park is the largest in Ireland and is just on our doorstep. Killarney Golf & Fishing Club has two 18 hole Championship Golf Courses link to activities page

Is wi-fi available at Cahernane House Hotel?

No, unfortunately, we do not allow pets. However, guide dogs are permitted at the hotel.

Yes , we have a lift to all floors.

All Coach House rooms have air-conditioning. The Manor House and Garden Wing do not have air conditioning. We do have some fans which are given out on a first come, first served basis.

Cahernane House Hotel  operates a strict non-smoking policy. Therefore, all bedrooms are completely non-smoking and fitted with smoke alarms. However, we do have designated outdoor smoking areas to accommodate guests who wish to smoke.

Yes we provide toiletries in all our rooms.

All our rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board as well as a Nespresso Coffee machine .

All our Deluxe Rooms have walk in shower only. In other room types,  some of the rooms feature a shower, a bath or both. If you have a preference, please let our reservations team know  [email protected] or +353 64 663 1895. Your request is subject to availability and not guaranteed.

When Making a Booking

In order to make a reservation, you must enter your credit or debit card as a guarantee. However, the card used to guarantee the reservation does not need to be the card used at the hotel. If booking an advanced purchase rate, the card will be charged at the time of booking, but no other reservation will be charged prior to arrival. A credit card will need to be presented to the front desk upon check-in for room and incidental charges.

We always advise to book directly with us on our own website or over the phone to guarantee the best rates. Should you book through third-party websites, your confirmation letters and cancellations are available only through the site you booked with.

When Making a Booking

If you booked your stay on our website, you can amend your booking there or alternatively, please contact us on [email protected] or +353 64 663 1895

 Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to arrival. All non-arrivals, Advanced Purchase packages and cancellations after this time will incur charges.

If you have booked through a third-party company, you will need to cancel your booking directly with them. Please note that third-party companies may have their own cancellation policies.

If you do not show up on the day of your booking, we will charge the first night rate as we may be in the position where we are unable to resell the room on short notice.

If you cancel your reservation outside of 48 hours, your card will not be charged. Cancellation charges will only occur to non-arrivals, prepaid packages and cancellations within 48 hours.

Families

Yes, children are very welcome at Cahernane House Hotel

Yes, we can arrange an experienced childminder for you. Please contact us on [email protected] or +353 64 663 1895 should you require a babysitter during your stay.

Yes, we offer a dedicated Children’s Menu for all little ones which is served in both Herbert’s Restaurant and the Cellar Bar. 

Ample garden space for children to play in. On our doorstep is Killarney National Park, Muckross Abbey, Ross Castle, Torc Waterfall and many playgrounds in Killarney town for children.

Also bike hire, jaunting cart rides all available close to the hotel.

Accessibility

No, unfortunately we don’t have any fully wheelchair accessible rooms. We do have rooms which are accessible for people with walking difficulties and we do have an elevator to all floors. Please ask us if you have any queries.

Dining

Yes our restaurant is called the Herbert Room and serves breakfast and dinner. Dinner is available nightly either in the Herbert Restaurant or the Cellar Bar. Herbert Restaurant is open for dinner from Wednesdays to Saturdays inclusive.  A reservation is necessary for both areas to guarantee your preferred seating time.

Cellar Bar is open daily and serves food from 1pm – 9.30pm. Drinks are served here also until late.

Individual bookings are recommended throughout Covid-19 restrictions. Should you wish to book a space for a group, please contact us on [email protected] or +353 64 663 1895.

Children are permitted in the Cellar Bar until 9pm

Breakfast is serviced from 8am – 10.30am.

Yes, we cater for all dietary requirements. We would ask you to give us as much notice as possible on special dietary requirements so we can prepare for your arrival.

If you would like to set up billing on your account, please talk to our team at the front desk on check-in.

Yes, we happily cater for groups from 3 to 80.

Cahernane House Hotel offers exclusive weddings allowing couples to privately hire the luxury Manor House for their special day. We can accommodate up to 80 guests and requirements are individually tailored for the most personalised experience. Golf

There are numerous world renowned links and championship golf courses in Kerry including Killarney, Tralee, Ballybunion and Waterville. Killarney is the ideal base for a golfing holiday in Kerry. We would be happy to arrange tee times at one of the local courses for you.

Bicycles

Cahernane has a number of bikes for residents use. These are given out on a first come, first served basis. We also provide helmets and locks and cycling maps for the local area. There are a number of bicycle hire shops in Killarney too.

Taxi is the easiest from Killarney town, which costs less than €10.

Turn right at the sign for the Cahernane House Hotel then follow the winding driveway up to our hotel
