Your evening meal menu can now be served in either our Cellar Bar or Herbert Restaurant, to facilitate social distancing. If you have a preference, it is advised to reserve your dining time when you are making your bedroom reservation.
Herbert Restaurant serves dinner 7 nights per week from 5.30 pm to 9 pm each evening. Recently awarded 2 AA Rosettes in recognition of culinary excellence, we use the finest locally sourced seasonal produce. Head Chef, Eric Kavanagh, has created an extensive menu of delicious dishes ensuring your Cahernane dining experience will be something very special.
The Herbert Restaurant epitomizes the style and grandeur of the original house and commands beautiful views over the surrounding landscape. The restaurant is complete with luxury furnishings, flooring and fittings. The beautiful Bushfield Interior curtains frame the stunning views over the Tomies and Purple Mountains. The twinkling chandeliers are from Tara Crystal Chandeliers. The intricate wallpaper is from Lewis and Wood London and silver cutlery is from Robert Welch. The perfect surroundings and ambience to match an exquisite dining experience.
The opulent dining room doesn't mean the restaurant is overly formal or stuffy, the dress code is smart casual and service is warm and friendly. Guests to Cahernane House are well looked after with a warm Irish welcome.
Breakfast is served between 8am and 10.30am each morning. Enjoy a light continental breakfast or a hearty full Irish cooked breakfast before setting out to explore the local area.
